We have the largest number of registered fishermen and this imposes the valorization of the protection and use of the sea as an important resource. For a long time, the formation of the Center for Fisheries and Aquaculture, which will be the main link between fishermen and the relevant ministry, has been under consideration. A 90-square-meter building within the Rovinj hospital will be renovated, where the new Center will be located, and the space will be arranged and adapted, said Ezio Pinzan.
After it was already clear to everyone that the Fish Market in Poreč was a failed project, the Istrian County Assembly today adopted a proposal to start a new county institution. Specifically, it is a new Center for the Development of Fisheries and Aquaculture.
Head of Agriculture Ezio Pinzan stated that the formation of a new center is a very important decision for Istrian fishermen and the valorization of the sea in the Istrian County.
